Wrenbury Hall is located in heart of Cheshire, just outside the town of Nantwich and set within beautiful secluded grounds, found at the end of a pretty tree lined drive. With its oak floors, open fireplaces and opulent furnishings, it really is a wonderful place to celebrate your big day.
The Morning Preparations
My day began in the morning where I met up with Lucy and her bridesmaids and it was fantastic to be working alongside James Wray Weddings again and of course the very talented Vicky and Anna of Bridal Hair and Make-up of Cheshire
The venue certainly has catered for the needs of their couples, not least the bespoke salon, which is kitted out perfectly for the morning’s preparations, and it was here where I found Lucy.
Wrenbury Hall is run by a very dedicated team and it really shows. They have great passion for the venue and took such great care of their guests. No request was too big and everyone involved went out of their way to make sure that their guests felt comfortable and able to relax and fully enjoy the day.
Lucy and her bridesmaids enjoyed being pampered while being provided with warm croissants, freshly brewed coffee and of course, some bubbly! As the bridal suite is on the same floor as the salon, it was great to be able to utilise this stunning room for some of the final preparations.
Wedding Ceremony at Wrenbury Hall
While Lucy and her bridesmaids were finishing getting ready, Brett arrived in true style, in a beautiful Aston Martin DB9 and soon it was time to make our way to the ceremony room.
There are several locations where you can have your ceremony including, the orangery and the within the grounds under the rose pagoda. Due to the typical British weather, Lucy and Brett decided to say their vows in the beautiful Oak Room, in front of the large fireplace. The excitement on their faces said it all and there were some lovely touching moments.
After the ceremony the newlyweds and their guests made their way out into the grounds, where the sun had made an appearance, so everyone was treated to a gloriously sunny afternoon. With canapes, drinks and space-hoppers readily available, everyone had a fantastic time and soon it was time to make their way to the Orangery for the wedding breakfast and speeches.
The Orangery is a wonderful space which can seat between 60 and 250 guests. Elegant and filled with light Lucy and Brett had created a beautiful setting with their own finishing touches.
The speeches are always one of my favourite parts of a wedding, filled with so many genuine emotions, which provide a wedding photographer with so many real expressions with which to tell a story. The speeches for Lucy and Brett certainly didn’t disappoint and even James Wray and I got a mention, which was a lovely gesture and another example of the warmth of their personalities.
The Evening Reception
After their meal and while the Orangery was being transformed ready for the evening shenanigans, we took a little time for Lucy and Brett to have a few moments together, away from their guests, which was a perfect opportunity for me to get some photos of the newly married couple.
Wrenbury Hall is a beautiful venue and provides so many opportunities for beautiful wedding photography.
It was soon time to return to the Orangery for cake cutting, the first dance, shape throwing, photo booths and pizza, the best way to round off a truly wonderful wedding and celebration.
It was an honour for me to be part of such a special day, with a wonderful couple. Below is just a small selection of images from my first Wrenbury Hall wedding photographer experience.
