A fun Filled Wedding at Abbeywood Estate

From the moment I first spoke with Matt and Meg, I knew their Abbeywood Estate wedding was going to be so much fun and 18 months later, it didn't disappoint.

While my second photographer, Ash, went to meet the groom and his groomsmen, I arrived in the morning to meet up with the bride, nine bridesmaids, mother of the bride and mother of groom. They were staying in one of the fantastic lodges at the Hollies Farm Shop where I also caught up with James Wray Weddings

With the best weather of 2019 so far, every moment of their special day was a joy photograph. From the beautiful church across the road from the venue, to Matt surprising Megan with a visit from their dog and Megan's horse upon arriving at Abbeywood!

Their wedding was filled with sun, laughter, spontaneous dancing, amazing speeches and some epic dance floor action.

This was one of those wedding day's where you wished you were a guest.

Here is just a small selection of photo's from this wonderful Abbeywood Estate wedding.

A Beautiful Cheshire Wedding Venue

Abbeywood Estate is a stunning Cheshire wedding venue, located just a stones throw from Delamere Forrest.

The venue spoils you for choice when it comes to indoor and outdoor locations for your wedding day.

The gardens are incredible all year around, with so many locations for beautiful wedding photography. There is also an area of woodland which provides another majestic backdrop you’re your photo's.

From the picturesque barns, the beautiful glasshouse to the stunning light of the orangery, Abbeywood Estate is a wedding photographers dream venue and your guests will never want to put their cameras down either.

Stunning Locations for your Celebrations

The Glasshouse, which can accommodate up to 190+ guests is lovely all year round, no matter the weather. With central heating to keep you cosy during winter weddings, and huge doors and windows to keep you comfortable for summer ceremonies.

The Garden Café can accommodate up to 85 guests and is a nicely proportioned rustic dining space for your wedding breakfast. It also has the convenience of it’s own bar and is also licensed for civil ceremonies.

The Orangery, which can accommodate up to 70 wedding guests, is perfect for a more intimate occasion. This part of Abbeywood Estate gets the most incredible light in the evening and also benefits from beautiful views of the Exotic garden.

If you would like to hold your ceremony outside, the Gazebo, which is also licensed for civil ceremonies and is situated just outside of the orangery. Perfect for a more intimate ceremony.

Then of course there is the Main house. This charming location can cater up to 70 guests and has a function room for your civil ceremony.

The Barn, with its exposed brickwork and impressive oak beams is another impressive option, which can accommodate up to 120 guests and is also licensed for civil ceremonies.

Comfortable Accommodation for your Wedding Guests

If you don’t want to travel far after all the merriment of the day, Abbeywood Estate has a choice of accommodation for you and some of your guests. The main house boasts seven bedrooms and a 2nd floor apartment.

Elsewhere on the estate, there is also the Woodside Cottage, which has a top floor apartment and two ground floor rooms.

A Wonderful Location for your Ceremony & Reception

The gardens themselves offer a truly spectacular setting for your wedding day. I have been lucky to photograph several weddings at Abbeywood Estate. No matter the time of year, this Cheshire venue is always a wonderful backdrop for wedding photography.

Acres of mature and newly-planted woodland, colourful gardens and impressive views of the Utkinton Hills, you and your guests will have a truly wonderful experience and a collection of images which will allow you to relive your wedding day for years to come.
