Owen House Barn Wedding Photography
Emma & Mike's excitement filled wedding
Owen House Wedding Barn
Back in November, I had the absolute pleasure of photographing Emma and Mike’s wedding at the stunning Owen House Wedding Barn. I’ve had my eye on Owen House Wedding Barn for quite a while now as it stands out as an absolute dream venue for any wedding photographer. You can tell that the owners have designed it in such a way as to create a truly unique venue which is visually striking and yet still has a rustic charm. Every detail has the enjoyment of the wedding party at its heart and the little and so little touches here and there provide you with an incredible experience.
Owen House Wedding Barn is located in picturesque village of Mobberley in the heart of the Cheshire countryside and is set on a family run working Farm. I met Emma her bridesmaids in the purpose built and very spacious bridal preparation room (more like a high-class salon), complete with shower room, tea and coffee and best of all, a fridge dedicated to prosecco!! Emma had the biggest smile and this didn’t leave her face the entire day. I honestly say, Emma was one of the most excited brides I have ever met. She thoroughly enjoyed every minute and just wanted to savour every moment of her day.
Not wanting to leave out the guys, Mike and his groomsmen made use of the more recent addition to Owen House Barn. The Baaber Shed. A great space for the groom and his Groomsmen to get themselves ready and relax, complete with shower room, a vintage style Belmont Barbers Chair, plasma tv, showers table football and the icing on the cake, a beer fridge! There is also the option to utilise Owen House Barn’s partnership with Bert & Bert Barbers, for their bespoke service the morning of your wedding.
The Wedding Celebrations
Emma & Mike’s ceremony was held in the civil ceremony room. This is a beautiful space and can seat up to 120 guests, with standing room for another 30! Decked in lights, flowers and candles, this is a stunning setting for a wedding ceremony. After the ‘I do’s’ Emma and Mike made their way outside and were welcomed by a crisp, dry November afternoon and even better, prosecco on tap…literally!
After lots of hugs, kisses and laughs with their family and friends, me, Emma, Mike and Tom, aka Tom Harrington Films, their incredibly talented videographer, took a few minutes to get some shots of the newlyweds, making good use of the hay barn. This is such a fantastic space. The attention to details in amazing and there are so many interesting spots to create some really wonderful wedding photographs, within just a few steps of each other.
After getting some lovely images of Emma and Mike and after having a bit of fun with some group shots, it was time for Emma and Mike to make their entrance into barn for speeches and the wedding breakfast. The speeches were a wonderful combination of, laughter, sentiment and big pants!! Emma had her heart set on a sparkler exit and so after the wedding breakfast, we left the barn and were met by a human tunnel cleverly arranged by Emma’s bridemaids. To say Emma had fun, would be an understatement, she practically jumped up and down the entire way!
Sparkler's and Dancing

Soon it was time for cutting the cake, guests really letting their hair down and The Rush to do their thing and get the dancefloor absolutely packed for Emma and Mike’s first dance and for the epic party that followed. This wedding party knew how to have a great time.
I thoroughly enjoyed my first Owen House Wedding Photography experience and can’t wait to go back there in September. If you are looking for a unique, stylish, cool venue for your wedding day, check out this place, you will not be disappointed!
The venue also benefits from plenty of accommodation for you and your guests, such as The Tens with its eight double rooms and two family rooms, the traditional farm house and not forgetting the stunning luxury bridal suite, with views of the countryside. What better way to complete your experience.
