2017 was an amazing year. Here are just a few of my favourites
2017 truly was a fantastic year for me. On a personal note it saw my wonderful little family grow with the addition of our second beautiful baby boy and watching him and his big brother grow closer each day has been so inspirational to me. Professionally it saw me meeting lots of wonderful couples and their fun and welcoming families.
I’m humbled and forever thankful to each and every couple who choose me to capture their special day and the amazing feedback I receive drives me me to improve and grow every day. I’ve had the opportunity to work at some of the venues I’ve longed to shoot at for many years, Manchester Town Hall, Thornton Manor, Great John Street Hotel, Quarry Bank Mill and even a Tipi to name but a few. I was also lucky enough to revisit some of my favourite venues which are always a pleasure we work at such as Merewood Country House Hotel, Inglewood Manor, not to mention one of my very favourites, Oddfellows Chester.
Amazing Wedding Industry
Each wedding gives you the opportunity to work alongside some of the incredible people working in the industry; venue managers, videographers, make-up artists, bands, DJ’s, florists, cake makers and not to mentioned some pretty cool vicars. As a photographer you spend a lot of time working alone (awww), busying away editing images, writing e-mails, balancing the books are just three of a million jobs, so when you arrive at each and every wedding and are surrounded by such a variety of people doing what they love and working so hard to make sure the newlyweds have the most amazing day, you really feel privileged to be part of it.
2018 is shaping up to be a corker and one of my busiest yet. It will see me experiencing new venues, working alongside some incredibly talented people whose work I thoroughly admire. In June I will be jetting off to my first ever destination wedding in the beautiful Skiathos which I am so excited about and have been looking forward to all year! So here is a small collection from 2017. I hope you enjoy looking at these as much as I enjoyed capturing them. Oh and to keep my 2016 tradition going, I must admit again that the last image is one of my absolute favourites of the year.
Happy New Year and here’s to an amazing 2018!
